12:43 pm - Foot
I broke my damn foot...again!! What is the deal? It's spring/summer, let's break a foot, cut a toe, break a toe. Who did I tick off about perfect feet? Honestly, I'm sorry. It won't happen again. Also, don't run in the house if you are an almost 50 year old woman with bad feet. Door frames do not like you. Dr. Who is not worth a broken foot. (David Tennant is.) Now please forgive me while I go enjoy my painkillers.

09:43 am - Clowns

I am terrified of clowns. It’s called coulrophobia. They are horrible. I don’t know how this got started, but when I was three, my parents surprised me by redecorating my room with clowns. My mom held me up, and told me to switch on the light. Apparently, I had a complete meltdown. Bye-bye, clown bedroom. The clown switch plate was just the beginning. It might be genetic, because my uncle is afraid of clowns, too. But he’s only 2 years older than I am, so maybe we were both scarred by the same event. We grew up in the era of John Wayne Gacy, may he rot, so that might be a clue. The only clown that wasn’t frightening was Bozo. He was just too moronic to be a threat. The clowns in the movie “Dumbo” are how clowns have always seemed to me. And don’t tell me how I just need to see the right clowns, or children’s clowns are nice, or whatever. No. Thank. You. I found a huge wooden clown face carnival game behind the Xerox machine at work and threatened to claim workman’s comp. My psychological health was at risk. Go ahead, laugh. My boss did.

10:44 am - Lord Help I Am Boring
They've changed the layout so I can't make the font bigger for my visually impaired loved ones. Sorry, guys. Just a quick post to keep my account active and because someone managed to hack it, so I changed a bunch of stuff. Why someone from Japan would want to hack this penny ante thing I could not tell you. Also, I haven't left the house much in the last few months, so there isn't a whole lot to talk about!

So, everything is God's will until he does something you disagree with. That's not very trusting in God, is it?

08:21 pm - Autumn
It's fall and I miss Texas. The smells, the color, the excitement of a new school year, football and festivals. There is woodsmoke in the air and the leaves are beautiful. I even miss Cowboys football with my dad and brother.

11:19 am - John Mayer Good Look Alert
I am reopening the John Mayer Attractiveness alert. Simply because some people are comparing his look to Johnny Depp. Go back a few years, people. He is emulating Neil Young. Which is kind of nice. Okay, the alert is now closed.

10:33 pm - Long Time
It's been a while since I've blogged here. Michael is a senior, after a long tough high school career, Avril is a freshman with her own struggles, Mike is moving from the same department he's been in for 22 years, and I lost my sweet dad in February. I haven't posted much since Michael started high school, because he had some struggles that were personal and we were all kind of sad. He's much better now. We moved from the house by the park and are living in the front unit of a fourplex. I've been working for 4 years as a computer lab aide at the school where I originally subbed. We all go on.

10:48 am - What Now?
Both of my urchins are no longer urchins. I have two fairly independent high school kids. Besides work, whatever shall I do with myself? It's time to relearn, reprogram and reinvent. Yikes.

05:25 pm - Being Boring
I just recently went back and reread some posts from a few years back. We've had a couple of hard years since then, some of this, a little of that. I will never be deprecating about being boring again. Ever.
